Great News!!!

TRENDYPR’s vision, tenacity and quality presentation of creative events has been rewarded through a grant award by Foundation Scotland (a grant/funding body in Scotland).

Challenged by the enduring lack of arts, cinema, cuisine, community engagement activities and other targeted recreational services for the African/Black audience in Aberdeen, – Scotland, TRENDYPR launched in November 2012 to meet the challenge. TRENDYPR’s team, made up of 6 professionals facilitated the screening of two award winning Nollywood films and initiated a ‘pop-up’/fortnightly social platform that engages the Africans/Black and the wider community in Aberdeen, Scotland!

As a socially focused organisation TRENDYPR creates, promote + distribute African/Black creatives through film, art + other creative platforms. The first of its kind in Aberdeen/Scotland. It provides its unique services through collaboration with partners locally in the UK and in Nigeria/Africa. It is the strategic partner signed up by the Black/African Film and TV content distributor – Talking Drum Entertainment (UK) to extend the reach of African films and creatives in Scotland.

The grant award by Foundation Scotland is a welcomed boost both financially and credibly – proving that TRENDYPR’s contribution into the community and economy is being recognized in Aberdeen and indeed Scotland as a whole.

With more projects lined up for 2013 and beyond, TRENDYPR envisages a more visible and participatory African/Black audience in Aberdeen/Scotland.

Three hearty cheers to all our supporters and customers!
